Do your cats know when you bring them home presents?

My cats always seem to know when I bring them home a present (and I dont do it everyday so its not a routine) They just always seem to know when there is something in the bag or something in the mail for them.

I think they know that its a present and are happy that you thought of them. I have 4 cats and I love to bring them presents to show them I love them and to thank them for their unconditional love.

How about you?

I have 3 cats, and honestly I really think they know. I’ll come home with groceries, and sure, they’ll sniff the bags and what not. But when I come from the pet store, coming in the door is insane. It’s like they sense the presents! Maybe they smell the other animals from the pet store. Or maybe they smell the pet store itself on us! Then obviously, every time they smell that smell it means more toys or more treats… I don’t know exactly what it is, but I think they know when I have gifts for them too!

yes, because they all have super vision crap, and they know perfectly that you bought them crap, no, they’re just happy to see you

I always spoil my kitten! Anytime my boyfriend and I are at the pet store, which has been a good amount lately, cause he wants to get a turtle, I pick something up for her. It’s great seeing how excited and happy they get once you give it to them :)

    Oh mine know!
My cat ( her name is “spoiled rotten princess” or princess for short) knows when she has something or when she doesn’t and I think it is my attitude when I walk in. I don’t even have to say anything.
I have 5 cats altogether and If I had room for a dozen more I’d have them too!

A couple years ago, i bought a catnip mouse at the grocery store for my addicted male. I got home & was putting the food away when I suddenly realized the cat had gotten into the bag w/the toy, removed it , gotten it out of its package (which he managed a lot faster then I can), ripped it wide open & spread the entire contents all over the living room rug. He obviously had taken time to get a couple hits, because he was on his back in the center of the mess with all 4 legs in the air, & this wonderful expression of bliss on his face.
